The License Plate Game

Give each member of your party a list of all fifty United States. Note the license plates on the cars you pass, and mark each state you’ve seen represented on the highway! The goal is to find at least one license plate from every state. The first party member to do so wins the game!

Crossword Puzzles

For more word fun, have one party member read out crossword puzzle clues for the other members of the group to guess. Challenging in content and cooperative in nature, this road trip game will keep you thinking so hard you’ll forget to ask, “Are we there yet?”

Spontaneous Sing-Alongs

Who doesn’t love a good sing-along? Pop in a favorite CD and belt out the tunes with the windows rolled down. Or sing to a favorite musical soundtrack, and give everyone on your road trip a different “role” in the show.

Finish The Story

This game has party members take turns telling a story, and you can play it in one of two ways. Have people take turns saying sentences, or switch players at every word. Either way, it’s bound to be a great time!
