This national natural landmark offers over 21 miles of trails and opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding, biking, or simply strolling and taking in the red rock views.

The geological marvels continue at Cave of the Winds, an extensive network of underground limestone passages adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. For those who prefer above ground activities, Cave of the Winds also offers guided Via Ferrata tours that include easy rock climbing with spectacular canyon views!

Of course, no trip to Manitou Springs would be complete without standing atop Pikes Peak, better known as “America’s Mountain.” The summit of this 14,115 foot tall peak – one of Colorado’s 58 tallest peaks – can be accessed year-round multiple ways, including by car or cog railway.

Numerous other outdoor opportunities abound, from hiking beautiful Red Mountain right from town, taking on the challenge of the 2,744 step climb of the Manitou Incline, or simply enjoying the mountain views on a leisurely stroll through downtown Manitou Springs.
