We awoke to the smell of the crisp mountain air and moseyed out of our “glamping” tent to greet the day. We ventured out for a horseback ride with some of the folks we met the night before at the cookout. Our guides so graciously extended our ride since we missed out the night before. We were continuously impressed at how accommodating our hosts were!
The red cliffs became more vibrant, and the yucca, ocotillo, agave, cactus and other desert plants stood proudly on the trailside. Truly, this state park is such a wonderful place to play, and it’s only a few miles from Old Town Cottonwood, making it a breeze to get on the trails.
I caught myself getting lost in the scenery around when I hit a rock and flew off my bike sideways. The guys I was riding with quickly returned to check on me, but I dusted myself off and kept grinning down the trail.
The trails and riding areas around Cedar City will thrill any type of cyclist. The sheer amount of available riding in the area is wonderfully dizzying, and the off-bike activities will round out an epic destination cycling trip.

I just love that I don’t have to travel far to find recreation in Pocatello, whether it’s disc golf, mountain biking, or fishing.
